Who People Think I Am
I find it very interesting to find out what people think about you.
In casual conversation, people reveal what they thought of me.
People may say it in different ways but I realized there's a consistency to my
"image."
I've been told;
"You're kind of prissy."
"When I first met you I thought you were older than that. You seem to have everything together."
"Are you from a military family? You seem like a military kid."
Who I Really Am
It's difficult to tell you guys who I truly am. I find myself changing all the time.
I grow and I learn things that change me. I guess within everyone there is a core being that stays the same. I believe my core being is someone who tries to understand people as they are. I feel it is important to listen, observe and try to understand. Even if you disagree.
I've alway been kind, and free-spirited.
It may seem like I have it all together but that's not true. Like anyone I'm trying different things and seeing how they pan out. My hope is that it works out for the better. Truthfully I'm just flailing through life like everyone else.
I am alway trying new things, and learning new things. So who am I?
I am kind
I am adventurous
I am resilient and strong
That won't change.
Caring what people think about you is not important. It's how you live your life that is important.
Life is too short not to live your truth.

This is my slow and steady progress. I want to add more colors to the picture but I dislike markers. Markers make the picture streaky and uneven. I may step away from this project until I get markers I like. If you have ay suggestions, please leave it in the comments below.

P.S I'll be traveling next week, expect a lot of pictures on my Instagram!

May has brought perfect weather and now that it's warm it's time to hit the beach.
I've always lived next to the ocean and everyone is headed there! You know that means it's
bikini season.
It can be difficult to go through and try on all those swimsuits. Swimsuits range from high-end to low end. Teeny-weeny polka dot bikini to a full-on men's t-shirt. Whatever makesyou feel confident and comfortable is the best choice.
I used to sell swimsuits and women put so much pressure on themselves and their bodies it's
hard for them to find enjoyment when going to the beach. It's like 'gosh, now I need to do all this prepping to go to the beach for a couple of hours.' I've seen a woman tear up when she tried on a swimsuit.
My wish is that we can get to a place where our bodies changing isn't a bad thing. I want society to turn a post-partum, aging, scarred body into something to be celebrated and beautiful. In the last few years, we have taken steps to accept different body types but we still have a long way to go.

Wednesday, May 17, 2017 • crop top, culottes, fashion, fashion blogger, summer

I know it sounds like a cool blog name but this article will talk about culottes and crop tops.
My two favorite articles of clothing. The two together are unstoppable. Culottes first came
about during the French Revolution as a term for pants or shorts.
I love the two together because it's casual and cool. Not a lot of effort is needed to pull it off. It's a great commuter outfit if you're wanting to be comfortable. I have seen black
culottes paired with a witty shirt or a black bandeau with black culottes. (black & black my favorite)
However, if
you decide to wear it make sure you have fun and express yourself to your fullest potential.
Remember fashion is supposed to be fun!

1. A little girl singing "Let It Go" from Frozen in
the grocery store
While I was in the grocery store I heard a little
girl start to sing "Let it go! Let it GOOO! The cold never
bothered me anyway."
That moment was awesome because she wasn't afraid
to sing in public. She shared that song that was in her
heart for all to hear.
2. Learning to Skateboard from a cute guy
I got a summer job at the college and luckily while
working there I met a couple of cute guys. We
were walking home and I told him about how I like would
to learn how to skateboard. He pulled out his skateboard and
held me as I tried to balance. I didn't know how
to stop when he grabbed me in his arms and
whirled me around.
3. Running into Dylan O'Brian
I was internally freaking out when I saw
Dylan O'Brian. I am a huge fan of Teen Wolf
and Dylan walked into my job. Dylan is super
cute and really tall. He also really likes Kind
granola bars, FYI.
I had the pleasure of working a local
fashion show. We had local designers and
models. I enjoyed the creativity of the event
and how everyone came together to make
it happen.
5. Moving Out on My Own
My decision to move out is a decision I'm
proud of. Although I have had TERRIBLE
roommates I have become more independent
and self-reliant.

It's a terrible habit I have to step away from a project and COMPLETELY forget about it.
I want to advance my art skills but I start something half way and stop. I do that with books, diys drawings!
It's terrible but I'm determined to improve. I started this project yesterday.
The objective of this is to tap into surrealism like Picasso or Frida. I wanted to
take my experiences, thoughts feelings and put it on paper.
It's natural to only draw what you see and that is limiting.
So I challenged myself to draw what I felt and experienced instead.
Below I have the "beginning" of my sketch.
Cat (Left)
I have drawn cats since I was young. My mom had tons of cats
Crystals (slight bottom left)
I'm not to proud of those. I did
not use a reference
Thrones
Sometimes I appear to be distant. It takes me a while to get to know people
Hand
Hands are very hard to draw. They are extremely complex. The ladybug
is good luck in a lot of cultures
Moon (Right)
I love the moon. I work nights and when I come home I always see the moon.
Fingerprints (slight bottom right)
To go along with the hand, a fingerprint is your unique identity. I like to think I am unique.
Saturn
All my Astrology Nerds know that Saturn has been in Sagittarius.
Saturn is associated with discipline and change. I personally have not
taken it too well.
Middle
Basically I love being female.
Like I said in the beginning I'm not finished yet.
If you guys have any ideas please leave it in the comments below.

There is a power in feminine.
In my opinion, feminine is being
open to life. Feminine is vulnerability
and resilience.
It is allowing yourself to
love endlessly. Give everything to
your family and yourself.
Less ego and more spiritual enlightenment
Feminine is not male or female,
Feminine is not exclusive to
xx chromosomes.
Strength is in empathy
Strength is in generosity
Strength is in community
Strength is feminine
In honor of Mother's Day, share this with someone important to you.
Leave a comment below and tell me what you think.

Control
The thing about Control is that it is an illusion
The idea one can Control the three-headed beast of life
Robs them of the adventure
It's not easy to except that Control is something we can never have
But there is bittersweet solace in chaos
Control limits us, deprives us, makes us rigid and cold
Release Control.
Modern Day Dating: My First Kiss
I know we are getting to know each other and I feel like the story of my first kiss is a good one.
We can all think back to our first kiss. Our first crush, and maybe our first time falling in love.
I went to a small public school. I wasn't popular but people knew me. I hung out with a small group of friends and did extracurriculars like chorus and art. My friend Ray was a the opposite of me. She was confident and wore Baby Phat. Basically, she was cooler than me. She and many of my other friends were more "experienced," than me. Many of them have been further than first base.
I was a doe-eyed teacher's pet that had no idea what they were talking about. Ray was surprised when I told her I've never kissed a guy before. To be honest I had braces and didn't think that was an option. I was so afraid I'd cut his lips lol. Ray introduced me to her cousin Jon. Jon was tall with beautiful hazel eyes.
I never knew what she told him but I had his attention and I liked it. Every morning we meet by his locker and he would walk me to class. The teachers and other students would glare. I guess they thought I was too prude to date anyone.
While walking to class I turned to him and asked him to kiss me. And he did.
I learned that love can be great and although I've been hurt, never be afraid to love.
Because love is the closest thing we have to magic.

Contrary to the title these practices may be beneficial to you. Pseudoscience is defined as a collection of beliefs mistakenly based in science. A lot like a snake oil salesman or healing waters these practices are believed to be false.
But the snake oil salesman stumbled upon an anti-inflammatory potion. My point is, sometimes we need to step outside traditional practices to find the answer.
Listed below are Nontraditional or Pseudoscience Practices I find helpful;

Meditation
Meditation is a popular one. The practice of self away from the chaos of the world is beneficial.
Smudging
Smudging is the burning of sage. It has been used by new age gurus and tribes
throughout history. Smudging is believed to clear the space of negative energy.
Feng Shui
Is a Chinese practice focusing on the ebb and flow of energy throughout your
living space. It is a well-known rule that clutter creates chaos. Feng Shui advocates order and simplicity to create a positive environment.
